An Afternoon Literary Tea
Sunday, October 1 @ 4 pm "I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers". Where is that quote from? It's spoken by our heroine featured at our next literary tea - Anne Shirley. If you love books and tea, this is for you! The book that we'll focus on at this afternoon tea is Anne of Green Gables. There will be three courses of delicacies by Baked Box served with the tea, a discussion on the ritual of tea, a background on the author - Lucy Maud Montgomery, and table discussions of the book. Each guest will take home a sweet remembrance of the event. NOTE: The tea is limited to 20 guests, so we recommend purchasing your tickets as soon as possible. This Anne of Green Gables tea may appeal to a younger audience as well, so we invite those in fifth grade and up to attend. Please bring your own teacup. Doors open at 3:45 pm. Cost: $35/person |
