Saturday, August 3, 9 am - 12 pm
Shibori dying is a thousand-year-old process from Japan that is the combination of origami and tie-dye. Learn different folding and indigo - techniques to create stunning pieces. Students will be provided 1 flour sack towel and 3 squares of fabric to practice the techniques and can bring in a few items (shirts, scarfs, pillow cases, fabric napkins, etc) to dye as well. Fabrics with higher cotton percentages dye the best, blends with over 50% cotton are preferred. All supplies are included (please bring extra items that you wish to dye), no experience necessary. Taught by Tiffany Knopow. This workshop is held outside, so the rain date of Sunday, August 4 at 10 am.
Registration Fee $20
Material fee of $35 is due the day of the class and is payable to Tiffany (cash or check)
